12 year old Samoan boy gets beating from his father and then...

Boy suspended, commits suicide
A 12 year-old-boy committed suicide last Monday after a beating from his father.
The death was confirmed by Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital spokesman, Lemalu Dr. Penehuro Tapelu.
The Sunday Samoan was told by a source the boy had been suspended from school and was beaten by his father as a result.
A note from a person who knows the boy said “we were told that we should not talk to the media.”
The note, however, gave details about how the boy died.

“There was a 12-year-old boy who committed suicide at his home after the head teacher of the school suspended him and told him that he could not sit the exam. ?"He begged for mercy, but no mercy was shown.
"The boy went home and when the letter was read to the father, he beat the boy.
"As a result
of this, the boy killed himself.

"I hope you will carry out research and bring out this matter to the public eye so that such things are not repeated.”
The principal of the school in question declined to comment.
But Acting Director of Fa’ataua Le Ola Lifeline, Runa Pavitt Curry, said it was unfortunate this young boy had to result to suicide.

And a 14 year old girl hung herself inside her family umu at Solosolo - can't many details on this story. Maybe her parents didn't beat her enough. Ok ok I'll stop now.
