You know as a child much YOUNG

I used to believe that at dusk, the ocean would swallow the SUN,

And the reflection from the water,

Would burn the SKY different shades of you.

And within that moment, within that brief space and TIME,

you and I, we, were as ONE.

Upon the HORIZON

I would sit and watch as you would RISE in the DISTANCE,

Always REMINISCENT

Of how I so much MISSED,

Long walks through tall grass,

That would often, whisper, rumors,

Of your ARRIVAL.

My SURVIVAL,

DEPENDED solely on your EXISTENCE

Because you SEE, their is no ME,

Without YOU.

What, did you not know, what more could I DO,

What more could be DONE.

Moments were all we had,

We would make love through an eclipse of the souls,

The expression of are two becoming ONE.

So when consumed by your LIGHT,

I attempt to recapture that lost love,

Though end up, only chasing you into the NIGHT.

The universe isn't big enough to hold you through the NIGHT.

My heart, this love, seems to be cursed for LIFE,

I call out your name through the pulling of the TIDES,

Just in time to see you turn away and take FLIGHT.

Your name has now become a song,

That is sung, through out the warmth of the day,

And into the comfort of NIGHT.

Sincerely,

The Moon.
