Poet Of The Month`...

POTM was originated in the comforting pagesz of PolyFreeStlyesz back in the day by one of Our very own natives Ms Tivsz`... I was extremely lucky enough to see the monthly contest unravel and flourish with many AMAZING poetsz that still roam the ville to this day`... With the likesz of Wrydah,ThatSamoanBoy, Drama, eehjay, Doc aka LiLLsz, knOwLedge`By`verse and not to mention a POET that has attempted to hide from PFS alumni NazztradaMazz and a few othersz`..

Thatsz where i FIRST fell in love with POETRY`... *fluttersz inside* Anyway, this is also the first time I had seen anything like it`... It was a whole new world`... A world i lost myself in, easily... and it was always filled with pacific islandersz all over the world ready to comfort a fellow broken hearted soul without even knowing who was at fault`... I know I'm rambling, but I just cant stress enough of how PolyFreeStylesz moulded me into the poet/lyricist/wryder I am today`...

So in retrospect this was where POTM was born, and at 16 I had no place competing against the likes of these wrydersz`... but they encouraged me and as young and naive as I was... I joined and made an absolute tool of myself... hahahaha`.. With my high school terminology and naivety of love`... Well my concept of it anyway`...
Moving along... So i suggested to Miss Haich that she start One Samoana'sz very own POTM... So here I am...

Poet Of The Month usually runs monthly and challenges the wrydersz/poetsz/lyricistsz/storytellersz/scribesz etc of 1sa to put their gifts to use and showcase their immeasureable talent! (Cos truth be told, this place is overflowing with written talent, you need only skim through the forums! )
As i was explaining each month, you will be asked to register before a closing date. Once this closing date has lapsed, rules and guidelines will be posted, and a deadline will be set to have your pieces submitted by. Then they will all be posted ANONYMOUSLY and our awesomely beautifully talented natives will then get the chance to vote for their favourite piece!! At the end of the month votes will be tallied and your winner of POTM will be presented and featured on One Samoana'sz Le A'ai. :)

So to get the ball rolling... Registration for POTM February is officially OPEN and anyone who is anyone is most welcome to register! Just drop a comment below saying so and keep an eye out for the next post which will outline the challenge as well as the rules and regulations! It can be extremely fun and I strongly recommend you ALL to have a go!! :) As mentioned above pieces will be posted ANONYMOUSLY so that natives can vote on the piece alone and NOT who wrote it! Ya dig?
