Control Messages and Comments
If you're worried about getting inbox messages from people you don't want to hear from, all you have to do is block them. Go to the person's page and find the link under their profile pic.
As for comments, you can set it so that comments have to be approved before they show up on your page. Go to your MY SETTINGS page and find the PRIVACY link in the menu on the left, then adjust the settings under the MODERATION section.
